Set of 3 Vintage Japanese Kutani Style Porcelain \"Geisha Girl\" 5\" Footed Ruffled BowlsDescription:
Up for sale is a beautiful matching set of 3 vintage Japanese porcelain footed bowls, elegantly styled with unique scalloped, ruffled edges. They are beautifully decorated in the highly collectible \"Geisha Girl\" pattern. Each bowl features an intricate, hand-painted interior landscape scene depicting traditional geishas amidst a lush garden environment filled with pagodas, blossoms, and trees. The artistic composition is beautifully framed by a classic, rich red/orange painted rim highlighting the delicate folds of the ruffled design.Measuring approximately 5 inches in diameter, these petite, short-footed dishes are traditionally known as berry bowls, sauce dishes, or individual dessert bowls. They are perfect for staging a formal table layout, serving small sides, or displaying in a vintage china collection.Markings:
The underside of each bowl features an authentic \"Japan\" export stamp, dating them to the mid-20th-century pottery production boom heavily centered in the historic Kutani region.Condition Report:
This 3-piece set is in excellent vintage condition and has been well kept.

• No chips, cracks, or hairlines anywhere on the bodies, ruffled rims, or footed bases.
• No crazing present in the glaze.
• The hand-painted colors and central graphic detailing remain exceptionally clean and vivid.
• Minor cosmetic wear is present on the outermost high points of the ruffled rims from past handling and stacking as pictured, which is completely expected and normal for authentic, hand-painted porcelain of this vintage era.

Note: Be sure to check my other listings! I have a matching 9.5\" Red Trim Chocolate Pot and a set of 6 matching 7\" salad plates currently available that pair beautifully with these bowls.
