DescriptionRare Vintage 1950s NAPCO Stackable Snowman Cream & Sugar Set with Original Shovel/Sugar SpoonWonderful and very hard-to-find vintage 1950s NAPCO Christmas snowman cream and sugar set. This adorable ceramic snowman is designed in two stacking pieces—the upper portion serves as the creamer and the lower portion as the sugar bowl. When stacked together, they create the complete snowman. He features a tall black top hat, red mittens, red-and-green striped scarf, green suspenders and black buttons. Most importantly, this set still has its original shovel/sugar spoon with wooden handle, an accessory that is often missing from surviving examples.Condition: This is a vintage piece approximately 70+ years old and does show age-related wear. There is some paint loss/chipping to the painted finish, particularly around the black top hat and portions of the green suspenders/details. These areas appear to be paint loss and not chips to the ceramic itself. The wooden handle of the original shovel also shows some cracking/chipping from age. Please enlarge and review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description.Despite the expected vintage wear, this wonderful snowman displays beautifully and retains tremendous character. The presence of the original shovel/sugar spoon makes this an especially desirable example for the NAPCO or vintage Christmas collector.A fantastic piece of mid-century Christmas kitchenware that is becoming increasingly difficult to find complete.
