This stunning Art Deco piece features a highly collectible figural motif of five pairs of interlocking "kissing" fish and hearts pressed into a brilliant gold-tone metal case. The reverse side features a gorgeous, crisp engine-turned chevron stripe pattern with a perfectly legible maker's mark.
Condition Details:
- Exterior Finish: Brilliant gold plating with some scratches surface wear. The hinges, catches, and internal compartments all function smoothly and snap shut securely.
- Maker's Mark: Explicitly stamped on the upper back edge: "RICHARD HUDNUT / NEW YORK • PARIS DISTRIBUTOR MADE IN U.S.A."
- Interior Mirror: Unusually clear with almost no fogging, silvering degradation, or spotting. Offers a highly usable, excellent reflection.
- Original Puffs: Includes BOTH original peach-toned fabric puffs proudly stamped with the "Richard Hudnut" logo in gold lettering.
