You are offerding on a vintage mid-century modern Silk Cocoon Lamp Shade 28” Light Blue Teardrop Sculptural Table Lamp Cover. The translucent silk produces a soft glow when illuminated as you can see in the pics. This shell encloses a separate light fixture, resting on its attached bottom metal ring. A thin silk loop at the top allows the cover to be lifted off. Its sculptural form recalls mid-century lighting associated with Eisenkeil and Goldkant. Manufacturer and exact age are unconfirmed; no maker’s label is present. Approximately 28 inches tall. Shade and attached support ring only. The demonstration light source and black base are not included. Preowned condition with scattered small marks, fabric wear and small areas of fraying. Please examine all photographs carefully for the best description of condition. Free shipping within the continental United States. No shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or PO boxes.
