This is an exceptionally rare, authentic vintage Kay Bojesen Wooden Guardsman Soldier, handcrafted in Denmark. This iconic mid-century Danish modern piece features the highly coveted, early shield-shaped foil paper label on the lower edge, securely dating this piece to the 1940s–1950s production era during Kay Bojesen's lifetime. The figurine is in excellent vintage condition with its original bright red, blue, and black paint showing only minimal, expected age wear. The wooden plug joints are tight and fully functional, and the wood grain remains beautifully preserved. Original foil label examples are incredibly difficult to find in this state, making this a premier addition to any Scandinavian modern design or vintage toy collection. Please review the detailed photos to assess the beautiful patina for yourself.
