Here up for grabs is a mineral rarely seen at the famous Sunshine mine in Silver Valley. The top of the specimen is liberally covered with dark ruby-red pyrargyrite with some of it as micro crystals. There is more banded within the quartz on the back of the specimen and is associated alongside minor chalcopyrite. Specimens from this famous and very large mine are not common and are rarely offered. This came from the collection of an old-time miner in Montana. I'm not sure whether he mined it or bought it from another miner.
