This is a rare and authentic NASA Artemis II mission challenge coin produced by The Trump White House in commemoration of this Lunar Orbit milestone. This is not a coin that was available for retail purchase but rather a coin given to staff and VIP guests at The President’s “Lunar Flyby” viewing event at The White House on April 6th, 2026.
The Artemis II mission bean on April 1st and concluded on April 10th, 2026. On April 6th, 2026 the four person crew set a new record for distance from earth traveled by any human, surpassing the 1970 Apollo 13 human spaceflight distance record of 248,655 miles.
This coin measures 2.75 inches in diameter, is nearly twice the thickness of a standard issued coin, features a depiction of the lunar surface along with the Artemis Mission logo on the front and NASA/White House graphics on the back. It is a cool looking piece and has substantial weight.
