This is a rare antique oval pin from the 1840 presidential campaign of William Henry Harrison, the 9th president of the United States. This design features "Harrison & Reform" framing a log cabin. The image is protected under glass, and this type of piece is called a "sulphide" pin.

The setting is brass with a pie crust-like border. There is a small amount of green tarnish on the front right-side and, also, on the back. The pin and clasp are original.

Overall, the piece is in very good shape for its age.

President William Harrison is best remembered for having the shortest tenure as president and being the first president to die in office.
