REDUCED Antique Belle Époque Blue Guilloché Enamel Miniature Picture Frame:
$199.99

Up for sale is a stunning, authentic antique miniature desktop picture frame from the Belle Époque era (circa 1900–1920). This exquisite piece features a vivid, translucent royal blue guilloché enamel face over an incredibly detailed, radiating engine-turned background. The geometric pattern beautifully catches and plays with the light from every angle.

The enamel is set in a solidbrass chassis with a classic rounded corner square silhouette. It retains its original easel-back stand, making it perfect for a desktop, vanity, or curio cabinet display.

NOTE ABOUT THE ENAMEL COLOR: it has been asked what exact color the enamel is. The term royal blue is used in the listing description based on standard art and antiques classification for this specific type of guilloché enamel work, rather than just a basic color shade. In vintage enamelwork, "royal blue" describes a deep, vivid, and highly saturated shade of blue that sits right between cobalt and navy, retaining high clarity without looking dark or muted.

Condition Report
  • Enamel: Near-Perfect Condition. There are no chips, cracks, fleabites, or hairline "spidering" fractures to the glass enamel field. The translucent blue is as vibrant today as it was a century ago.

  • Frame & Backing: Very good antique condition. The brass has a wonderful, warm aged patina. The easel back is sturdy, aligns correctly, and functions perfectly to support the frame.

  • Picture: the print of a painting of an unknown lady is glued to cardboard. There is no glass but the print is very clean.

Dimensions
  • Height: 2"

  • Width: 1.75"

  • Depth: 0.25" (excluding easel stand)

  • Photo Capacity: Holds 1 miniature photograph or portrait.

Why Add This to Your Collection?

Unbranded French and Austrian style guilloché vanity items from this period are highly sought after by collectors, but finding them with zero damage to the delicate enamel is becoming increasingly rare. This pristine face makes it an exceptional investment piece or a prominent addition to a miniature frame collection.

  • Packaging: As a collector's item, this piece will be meticulously bubble-wrapped and packed securely in a sturdy box to ensure it arrives in its current pristine condition.
