Alvin Model 719-B Large Size 12" Equal Spacing Divider
Precision Stainless Steel Drafting / Drawing Tool
Near Mint in Container Box
This high-precision tool is a staple for draftsmen, engineers, navigators, and architects, designed to divide any linear distance into up to 10 equal parts simultaneously using its 11 numbered teeth (marked 0 to 10). The tool is used for position plotting on small scale charts (such as weather maps), converting seconds scale on a chart to decimal minutes, interpolating depth contours on charts, forms design, textile design and many other applications.
This equal space divider is constructed of German stainless steel by Alvin. The satin finish tool will resist wear and corrosion, and the riveted pivot points expand and contract with ease, holding their positions precisely without any loose play.Very clean stainless steel with minimal signs of age or wear. The original etched numbering (0–10) remains crisp, clear, and perfectly legible. Comes inside its original velvet-lined hard storage case. The case remains structurally sound, and the interior lining has kept the tool well-protected. Note: There is a small amount of slight tape glue residue on one corner of the case's exterior from a previous label, which does not affect the tool's utility.
What makes this particular tool special, is its size. Normally the equal spacing dividers seen on are the standard 6" size. This divider is the larger version measuring 12" in height, and it will expand up to 19.5", making it perfect for large-sized maps or navigation charts or drawings. This 12" divider is in near mint condition with the original container hard case. The case measures 12 5/8" x 4 3/4" x 1".
