Vintage 1947 Promotional Advertising Calendar Hanger – Krantz Service (Hart, MI)
Featuring "Road to the Coast" Art Print by Marius Hubert-RobertUp for sale is a wonderful piece of mid-century Michigan advertising and automotive history. This original 1947 holiday calendar hanger was distributed by Krantz Service, a long-running garage and International Harvester farm machinery dealership located in Hart, Michigan (Oceana County)What makes this specific piece incredibly scarce is that it features the complete, intact, 12-month paper calendar pad for 1947 still attached at the bottom. Typically, these tear-away pads were removed month-by-month and thrown away, making a fully intact survivor highly collectible for ephemera and regional history buffs.Design Details:
- The Artwork: Features a vibrant, textured lithograph print of the iconic painting "Road to the Coast" by renowned French artist Marius Hubert-Robert. It depicts a scenic, tree-lined path leading toward a shoreline cottage with coastal sailboats visible in the background. This has a GLASS (fully in tact) cover with gold foil edges.
- Mounting: The print is securely displayed using classic 1940s-style gold-foil embossed decorative corners on a sturdy cardboard backing backdrop.
- Typography: The top reads "KRANTZ SERVICE, Hart, Michigan" in clean mid-century block lettering. The bottom calendar flap features an elegant, classic cursive script that reads "Greetings of the Season."
Condition Report:
- Overall: Good original vintage condition considering its age.
- Calendar Pad: Excellent—fully intact with all pages present.
- Flaws to Note: Please see pictures for exact physical details. There is minor age-appropriate edge wear, light toning, and dust on the cardboard mount. The art print and calendar text remain bright and highly legible.
Perfect addition for collectors of vintage gas station memorabilia, Michigan local business history, or mid-century decorative illustration art.Measurements: 8 in X 8 inShipping & Handling:
