As photographed and described. This hat appears to be an original WWII era flat hat from the US Navy. I believe it to be pre-1941 based on the presence of the ship’s name on the tally. The construction of the hat appears to fit manufacturer description, including the 1.5” black silk tally with bow on left side, leather sweatband, oiled material sewn in the crown, and dark blue melton fabric, to name a few details. Please note the folds and discoloration on the top, tally, and sweatband that occurred due to the hat being folded in storage. There is a small tear in the oiled cloth sewn in the crown and it is somewhat dusty. Otherwise it is in good condition. Do not hesitate to reach out for additional information. I am happy to provide any photos or measurements you would like.Item ships from Alaska which can take longer than in the lower 48.
