Original 1981 Star Wars Movie Poster 27x41 It’s Back! NSS R810077 Theatrical
DESCRIPTION:
Before Star Wars became a universe of sequels, streaming series and collectibles, there was the thrill of seeing the original film return to the big screen. This is an original 1981 U.S. theatrical one-sheet created for that return, boldly announcing “IT’S BACK!” and the wonderfully urgent promise “THE FORCE WILL BE WITH YOU FOR TWO WEEKS ONLY.”
This is the real theatrical issue, identified along the bottom as NSS R810077 STAR WARS and carrying the original National Screen Service licensing statement. The poster features Tom Jung’s classic Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia artwork against the enormous silver Star Wars logo. Contemporary poster references confirm R810077 as the approximately 27" × 41" U.S. one-sheet produced for the 1981 re-release. Film on Paper
The poster retains its original theatrical folds and shows visible age-related handling, creasing and wear, all clearly photographed. I would not describe this as mint or restored. What matters here is that it presents as an authentic piece of early Star Wars theatrical history rather than a later decorative reproduction.
