Beautiful vintage framed September 1928 McCall’s Magazine cover, featuring artwork by celebrated American illustrator Neysa McMein. The charming cover depicts a fashionable young schoolteacher standing at a chalkboard and is a wonderful example of late-1920s American magazine illustration. The September 1928 issue of McCall’s is particularly interesting for the notable names featured on the cover, including Rudyard Kipling, Rafael Sabatini, Commander Richard E. Byrd, and Amelia Earhart. The cover has been beautifully presented with blue and rose-colored matting in a traditional wood frame, giving it a wonderful collected, old-library feel.Approximate framed dimensions: 18” × 22”.The back retains its older paper dust cover and wire hanger. The magazine cover has not been removed from the frame for inspection, so its originality and condition outside of the visible framed area have not been independently verified. It is being sold as shown. It was purchased from an sale house stating it was original. The frame and artwork show age-related wear consistent with a vintage piece. Please review all photographs closely, including photos of the back, as they are part of the description.A fantastic piece of vintage wall art for an English Country home, library, office, study, classroom, gallery wall, or traditional interior.
