An amazing, VERY rare piece of McCormick history. McCormicks agricultural equipment was introduced to France in 1855 at the Paris Universal Exposition. Along the line CIMA came along to handle the companies affairs in France. In 1955 this award was produced to celebrate 100 years of McCormick equipment in France. The prestigious and famous sculptor Max Le Verrier was commissioned to design a piece for the celebration. This “dish” or presentation medal was the result. I’m sure it was awarded to higher up in the company and possibly dealers in France. I have no doubt that very few were produced. Even fewer survive I am sure. The entire internet produced only one other example in total. That one was in horrible condition, this one is just about mint. This piece came from the region that McCormick is based in. It’s approximately 6” in diameter. It should appeal to agricultural collectors, bronze collectors, and of course Le Verrier collectors. Ships ASAP! Thanks
