• Produced by theMorimura Brothers(predecessors to Noritake) in Japan. The bottom of the vase bears the highly collectiblegreen \"M-in-Wreath\" backstampreading\"Hand Painted NIPPON\".
• Circa1911–1921. In 1921, U.S. import laws changed, requiring items to be marked \"Japan\" or \"Made in Japan\" rather than \"Nippon,\" which solidifies their century-old antique status.
• These feature a stylized Art Nouveau silhouette with four raised feet and integrated geometric side handles. The surface is decorated with a matte olive-green wash highlighted by intricategilded scrolling and raised gold bead accents (moriage).
• Each vase contains independent multi-sided panels showcasing softly rendered, atmospheric river landscapes featuring cottages, sunset horizons, trees, and continuous water lily ponds. Because these were fully decorated by hand, the details are slightly asymmetrical between the two vases, giving them individual uniqueness
