History: Hitchcock's Drug Store was located at 18 Main Street (under the Cheshire House). Operated by G.L. Hitchcock around the 1890s and early 1900s, it was famous locally for serving "Ko-Na Tonic".
Middle Bottle: Dr. Elizabeth B. Reed (Keene, N.H.)Details: Embossed with the name of a pioneering local physician.
History: Dr. Elizabeth B. Reed was an active member of the New Hampshire Medical Society in the 1890s and served as a prominent physician at the Elliot City Hospital in Keene. She also operated the Gray Stone Sanatorium in nearby Munsonville. The rim has some chips, see image.
Right Bottle: Frank G. Dort & Co. Druggists (Keene, N.H.)Details: Tallest of the three, displaying a darker patina/soil from age.
History: Frank G. Dort & Co. was an established 19th-century pharmacy in Keene. The firm was active through the late 1800s selling everything from pure olive oil to patent remedies like Hamlin's Wizard Oil.
