Overview:

Offering a spectacular, fresh-to-the-market estate lot of 14 authentic 19th-century "reed-stem" clay tobacco pipes, all verified as Point Pleasant, Ohio production. This uniform collection was purchased together at a local estate sale in Fleming County, Kentucky, and represents an exceptional snapshot of historic Ohio River trade cargo.

Condition Note:

All 14 pipes are in completely unsmoked, "as-found" dug condition, with original local subsoil patina beautifully intact within the creases. They have not been scrubbed, bleached, or altered, preserving their full archival value. As is typical for authentic dug stock, they show honest age, including chipped rims and broken stem sockets from historical transit or burial.
