This wide-ranging collection features fine art masterwork reproductions, European and Asian topographical views (including rare China and India subjects), historic architectural scenes, and literary character portraits from prominent 19th-century European and American publishers.
DETAILED INVENTORY OF ALL 11 PRINTS:
1. "The Writing Master" (Der Schreibmeister) – Engraved by A. H. Payne after Dutch Master Gerrit Dou (c. 1850s). Features a scholar sharpening a quill at an arched window.
2. "The Hermit" (Der Eremit) – Engraved by A. H. Payne after Gerrit Dou for Dresdener Galerie (c. 1850s). Depicts a praying monk with scripture, crucifix, hourglass, and skull (memento mori).

CONDITION REPORT:
All 11 pieces are original 19th-century paper impressions with uncropped full white margins.
Paper leaves exhibit expected natural age-toning, minor edge handling waves, and occasional margin foxing spots typical of 170+ year old paper.
Lady Pinchbeck shows a light horizontal fold/crease line across the upper margin.
Overall clean impressions with sharp line detail and strong contrast throughout.
