Charming original collection of approximately 14 antique Christmas and New Year greeting cards dating primarily from the 1920s.
This assorted group features colorful period illustrations and typography including winter landscapes, Christmas trees, birds and holly, sailing ship, architectural scenes and other traditional holiday imagery. Particularly fun is the humorous “Old Timer—I wish you a whale of a Christmas!” card featuring a large whale and fisherman.
Several cards retain handwritten period signatures, names or greetings, adding to their authentic early 20th-century character. The assortment includes different sizes, formats, colors and graphic styles typical of Christmas correspondence from the 1920s era.
