The book was published following Trotsky\'s exile. It criticizes the development in the Soviet Union following the death of Vladimir Lenin and is regarded as his primary work on the rise of Stalinism.
Very good condition with minor age and handling related imperfections, particularly the covers corners and age-related browning to pages.
The book was signed in Coyoacán,Mexico City where Trotsky lived in exile through the help of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. The book was most likely signed inside his home office -- the future location of his assassination.
