Great posed photo of a group of nine Ukiah California gentlemen. One, on bottom left, appears to be wearing a badge, although I am unable to see what variety it might be. These are well to do gents, enough fobs and bow ties to fill a box. Photographer was Aurelius O Carpenter, also the publisher of the town newspaper, and still well known today for his N Cal photographs in the Mendocino area. Measures 10 x 12 inches including the paperboard mount. In nice shape, the photo has a little staining, not very serious as you can see. The paperboard has foxing and a damaged corner. Oddly, it must have been in a stack of photographs for a long period of time, there is evidence of another photo transferred to the back of this one.
