Spinning out of his acclaimed run on BATMAN and the crossover series DARK NIGHTS: METAL, current ABSOLUTE BATMAN scribe Scott Snyder took over the reins of DC\'s JUSTICE LEAGUE. His run, collected in these three oversized hardcovers, found the World\'s Greatest Heroes trying to protect the entire Multiverse, facing off against an all-new Legion of Doom led by Lex Luthor. The evil mastermind teamed with the so-called Mother of the Multiverse, Perpetua, to battle the League and further her desire to conquer the entire multiverse. Snyder was joined by writer James Tynion IV and a host of popular artists including Jorge Jimenez, Francis Manapul, Jim Cheung, Bruno Redondo, Doug Mahnke, and others. This three-volume lot collects Snyder\'s run on JUSTICE LEAGUE # 1-39 and Annual 1, JUSTICE LEAGUE/AQUAMAN: DROWNED EARTH # 1; and AQUAMAN/JUSTICE LEAGUE: DROWNED EARTH # 1. These epic tales led into the DEATH METAL crossover. These beautiful hardcovers have been read once from my personal collection in a non-smoking home. Pages are crisp and clean, and binding is tight. Jackets may have light shelfwear, and Volume 3 has a tiny dent/ding in the top right-hand corner and the very top of the spine which do not affect readability whatsoever. Please see photos.
