Absolutely gorgeous display of a large terminated, black tourmaline crystal in a feldspar and smokey quartz matrix with other needle like pillar clusters of schorl as well. This was mined personally from the famous feldspar quarries at tryon mountain in pownal Maine and is absolutely rare in this form and size for the location. The matrix is charming as well, monazite and zircon inclusions give a shimmer to the feldspar and unique striations alomg the smokey quartz clusters. Muscovite mica inclusioms also present. Beautiful display of a maine pegmatite. Measures appx 6x4”weighing 860 grams. stunning display cabinet piece at all angles
