DIOPTASE:Christmas Mine, Christmas, Gila County, Arizona, USA. Dimensions: 7.5 x 4.5 x 1.7cm, small cabinet. This is adazzling and important Dioptase piece from the long closed Christmas Mine in Arizona. It is unusually bright and large crystals for the locality at a uniform 1mm or slightly larger and they are in excellent condition! The tufts and groups of rich green Dioptase crystals scintillate on the off-white granular Calcite matrix that has a faint green tint to it. Most pieces from this mine have micro-Dioptase crystals coatings or smears rather than distinct crystals like these! This is a choice piece for the locality for richness, intense color, contrast, size of undamaged crystals and aesthetics. The crystals are a much richer green than the photos indicate.Buyer pays USPS Priority Mail shipping and any sales tax. No shipping to PO Boxes and do not ask me to include shipping or tax to the purchase price. Thank you for reviewing this listing and see my other items!
