MATCHING ULTRA RARE THREE-PIECE COFFEE SERVICE SETAND COFFEE CUP & SAUCER SETS ARE AVAILABLE IN MY OTHER LISTINGS
(set #2)
Beautiful and scarce Pickard China Air Force One Presidential Cup and Saucer Set from the George H. W. Bush Administration, circa 1989–1993.
This pattern has been used on Air Force One from the administrations of President George HW Bush through the first term of President Barack Obama. This particular is from the George HW Administration.
EXQUISITE PRESIDENTIAL DESIGN & GOLD DETAILING
The cup and saucer feature an elegant gold gilt rim around the top, decorated with the words “AIR FORCE ONE” and a distinctive pattern of stars and stripes, bordered by gold bands above and below.
Immediately beneath this decorative gold band is a rich cobalt blue band, adding to the striking presidential design.
The cup\'s handle is completely finished in brilliant gold gilt, with an additional gold ring encircling the base.
Prominently displayed on the front of the cup is the official Presidential Seal, featuring an eagle surrounded by the words “Seal of the President of the United States.”
EXCLUSIVE PRESIDENTIAL FORWARD CABIN CHINA
The distinctive cobalt blue band beneath the gilt rim identifies the design associated with service in the Presidential Forward Cabin aboard Air Force One, reserved for the President and presidential guests.
An important distinction between the china used in the Presidential Forward Cabin and that used in the rear sections of Air Force One is the presence of this distinctive cobalt blue band. The china used in the rear sections of the aircraft, outside the exclusive presidential area, features an all-gold banding design without the cobalt blue band.
This distinguishing feature makes the cobalt blue and gold pattern particularly significant to collectors, as it identifies the design associated with the most exclusive section of the presidential aircraft, where the President and invited presidential guests are served.
HISTORY & PROVENANCE
This cup and saucer set was personally gifted to an individual by a very high-ranking member of the Air Force One crew at the conclusion of President George H. W. Bush\'s administration in 1993, when a new set of china was ordered for Air Force One.
This special history adds to the collectible appeal of this beautiful piece of presidential aviation memorabilia.

About Presidential Collectibles: We specialize in Presidential and White House memorabilia, with an emphasis on official Presidential presentation gifts and White House staff items as well as supporting agency items. (Air Force One, Camp David, WHCA, Secret Service ect.) What exactly are official Presidential presentation gifts and White House staff items? Presidential presentation gifts are tokens of appreciation or esteem presented by or on behalf of The President of the United States to individuals such as, Visiting Heads of State and Dignitaries, Guests and friends of the President, Political contributors/supporters, and other VIP\'s, that the President, his staff, or party wish to present with a token of the Presidents appreciation. The majority of these items are emblazoned with Presidential Seal and sometimea facsimile of the Presidents signature. White House Staff and Supporting Agency (Air Force One, Camp David, WHCA, Secret Service ect.) are items issued to or made available to staff thru internal employee only stores. as a general rule these items are produced in small quantities and are not sold commercially to the public
Authenticity: We understand this is always a concern especially with the large influx into the market place of replica Presidential, White House, Air Force One and Government agency memorabilia, because of this it has become increasingly more difficult for collectors to know if something is authentic. I personally started in the hobby of political memorabilia over 30 years ago and Presidential Collectibles was established on in 1998. Over these 30 plus years I have gained a wealth of knowledge both from my personal experiences and the invaluable information shared with me by a very small group of fellow Political collectors and White House staff some of which were collecting Presidential and White House memorabilia 40 years before I purchased my first pair of Presidential cufflinks. You can rest assured that all the items we sell have been carefully inspected and researched every item we sell is 100% authentic. The safest way to protect yourself from replicas is to know your seller we invite you to review the thousands of positive response ratings we have received since 1998
