Our design is based on research of extant garments and period patterns from the 1750s-1780s, ensuring historical accuracy for events ranging from the French & Indian War through the American Revolutionary War.

Period Style: The long, full-skirted silhouette, structured sleeves, and period-correct front opening with working buttons are faithful to historical examples.
Fabric: Crafted from a beautiful, durable 100% mid-weight plain-weave linen in a historically appropriate light blue. Linen is a authentic choice for its durability and period-correct look.
Buttons: The coat is finished with a striking row of high-quality, polished pewter-finish metal buttons, which were a common and highly valued hardware for military and gentleman’s waistcoats. (Please note: The buttons have a silver-like finish, as requested).
Fully lined in a neutral-colored linen for comfort and weight.
