"CUTE TRICK
You're a ringer for the "Ziegfeld Girl"That dazzling thrill-conveyer
For whom we owe a vote of thanksTo Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer,
But you're not in a movieOr the chorus of a showThough a chorus of approvalFollows everywhere you go;
You grace the playing cards that provedAn overnight sensation,*
You're causing cardiac troubleThrough excessive palpitation,
Why, even stage-door-JohnniesWill forego a rendezvous
To stay home every eveningAnd play solitaire with you! "
