The clear photo of the bottom confirms that this is an authentic piece of interwar Bohemian art glass from Czechoslovakia, featuring a distinct "CZECHOSLOVAKIA" arched acid-etched stamp.
Information & Production History
• Origin & Era: The arched text format inside the circular/oval outline is a textbook export mark used between 1918 and 1938. Following World War I, the newly formed nation of Czechoslovakia became a massive global hub for high-quality, innovative glass production.
• Style (Tango Glass): The vibrant monochromatic orange body paired with stark, hand-painted black stylized floral enamel motifs is known as "Tango Glass." This highly sought-after Art Deco aesthetic was popularized in the 1920s and 1930s by renowned Bohemian glasshouses like Loetz, Kralik, and Rückl.
• The Maker: While thousands of variations of this stamp exist and many were generic country-of-origin marks, famous studios like Wilhelm Kralik Söhne are known to have used very specific arched acid stamps exactly like this on their export art glass.
