This is a stunning antique Victorian-era vanity dresser box, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. This exquisite jewelry casket is crafted from heavy, clear hand-blown glass, featuring a beautifully polished, ground pontil mark on the underside that showcases its authentic period craftsmanship. The exterior is meticulously adorned with hand-painted, raised enamel decoration, highlighting vibrant blue forget-me-nots and delicate pink floral swags across the top of the lid and around the cylindrical body. The glass box is securely cradled within an ornate brass or ormolu mount, complete with four decorative scroll-style feet and matching swing ring handles on the sides. The hinged lid remains fully functional and aligns beautifully. This piece is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, and the enameled details remain crisp and intact with minimal surface wear. It makes a magnificent addition to any antique vanity collection or Bohemian glass display. Please review all high-resolution photos for a precise view of its condition and craftsmanship.
