To try to entice a consumer, a company would put a premium in each package. During the early 1910s, tobacco companies put felt or flannel pieces in their products. These could be used to make a quilt or to give to a child for play. This is a tobacco felt. It was designed by Rose O\'Neill. She was the illustrator who came up with the Kewpies. This particular felt shows a Kewpie marching while holding an American flag. There is a red flag on her tuft of hair with a \"K\". The main color on this felt is pink. The sky is light blue with white clouds. The Kewpie is light pink. This felt is marked in the bottom right corner \"Rose O\'Neill - copyright symbol 1914\". And at the center bottom in white it states \"Kewpie\". There is a zig zag border that is black, red, and white. This felt is approximately 6-1/8\" tall x approximately 5\" wide. It has a salvage edge at the top.This Kewpie felt has been around a while. The edges without the salvage are raveling a bit. And, as usual, the edges are a bit uneven. There are no signs of stitching on this felt. There are a couple of creases from being folded in the original package. There are two stains that show up on the back. One is on the border, and the other is on the Kewpie\'s head. They barely show on the front. Please see the pictures. They help with the description.
