Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic turn-of-the-century antique Italian Neoclassical style cherub chariot center piece / vanity dish set. This lot features a stunning, flawless hand-blown amethyst purple ruffled-rim art glass insert resting inside a detailed ornate gilt metal chariot base.
CONDITION BREAKDOWN:
- Amethyst Glass Insert: MINT condition. Beautiful dark purple color, crisp ruffled edges, completely free of chips, cracks, or flea bites.
- Metal Chariot Base: Flawed/Damaged. There is a deep, visible crack running across the ornate decorative scrollwork casting near the center neck. PLEASE NOTE: The heavy internal structural metal bar running along the underside spine of the frame is completely intact and solid—the piece holds together firmly as one unit and is not in danger of snapping in half, but the top decorative casing has a severe, open fracture as shown.
- Priced accordingly.
