A 1/2 L, Rare Antique German Lithopane, Lidded Beer Stein that was a Souvenir of a Famous German Spa, Kurhaus, Bad Elster. It has beautiful hand painted details of the Spa and it retains the decoration pewter lid. There's a name engraved on the top lid, Gustav Hennig. And when you open the lid and hold it to a light, there's a scene with some people around a table. It measures; 9" tall to the top of the lid x approx. 5" from the front of the stein to the back of the handle x just under 3-7/8" across the bottom base. There are some tiny darker spots on the inside bottom base, this is not damage, this is natural in the stein from when it was made. It has some very minor paint rubs along the bottom outer rim but other than that, this stein is in beautiful antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
