Pair of cast brass candlesticks, each with an urn-form socket and wide dished drip pan on a knopped baluster stem, rising from a domed and stepped circular base. Stems screw into the bases in the usual two-part construction. French, mid-19th century, Louis-Philippe period.
An assembled pair rather than a matched one: the sticks are near-identical in form and finish but differ slightly in height and base diameter. Sockets are original. Warm, unpolished patina with scattered spotting and minor wear to the bases. Some denting and distortion to the rim. Both stand straight and stable.
Purchased in Arles, France summer 2026.

Country of origin: France

Condition notes: Good antique condition. Unpolished patina with scattered spotting and minor wear to the bases. Both stand straight and stable. Assembled pair; slight variation in height and base diameter. One has a slightly misshapen rim.
