This listing is for an antique porcelain amphora-style handled German porcelain vase. It is lovely white porcelain with gold gild paint. The front has a colorful scene of the historic Zwinger Palace in Dresden, Germany. The sides and back are decorated with the golden "Dresden lace" designs.
The bottom is marked in blue underglaze with the "SP Dresden" mark and the words Original Dresden. That would date it to post-1902. I bought this from the estate of my neighbor, who was an antique collector. There was no lid.
Measurements: 12" tall, 9" wide handle-to-handle. Weighs about 3.5 pounds.
Condition: There is one minor condition issue -- as shown in the last two photos, one angel head on a handle broke off and was re-glued sometime in the past. It's firmly attached, though a tiny chip remains and there's some brown discoloration. And as mentioned, there is no lid. Otherwise the vase is in excellent condition - please view all photos and message me if you have any questions.
