This is a beautiful antique Chinese silk embroidered panel with finely worked birds and flowers on a soft salmon‑rose ground. Hand‑stitched in silk floss with shaded satin stitch and dense gold‑colored metallic couching that outlines the scrolling designs and fills the border.
The design features a pair of birds facing a central lotus blossom, framed by floral roundels and scrolling motifs. This type of panel was probably made as a decorative textile insert or for a household furnishing in the late Qing / early Republic period (late 19th–early 20th century).
