An extraordinary pair of very long velvet drapes from the late 19th Century in a classic Art Nouveau style. You can just see these hanging in the window of a Paris apartment. They are custom made - not wide, but very long with a fringe trim along one side and across the bottom. We are selling these two panels separately here since their future use is likely not to be 116" long curtain panels and you might want only one.
The condition is good for the age. They have no visible holes, but they have soil. There are a couple of darkish streaks from the top about 20-30" down and there are a few spots here and there. I've tried to show these in the photos, but it is difficult to catch them. There is one place where the trim is separated in a corner of one of the panels. The trim is a little tired and dusty. You might choose to replace it especially as it doesn't add anything to the style of the curtains.
