The box is in good antique condition considering its significant age (over 100 years old). It has a beautiful weight and presence. Please note the following honest condition details, which are also clearly shown in the photos:
- Exterior: Beautiful gold-tone finish. There is some minor wear and finish loss on the raised details, corners, and feet, which is typical for a genuine antique of this era.
- Interior: The box features its original deep burgundy velvet-like fabric lining. The lining remains glued inside but is slightly coming loose/separating from the edges in some areas, as visible in the pictures.
- Hardware: The original rear hinge is intact and functions properly.
