The carriage advances properly when the keys are pressed, indicating that the escapement is functioning. The typebars move as expected. Beyond these observations, the machine has not been cleaned, lubricated, adjusted, or fully tested and is being sold in original, as-found condition.
Cosmetically, this is a very attractive example with strong original finish, crisp decals, and an honest patina developed over more than a century. It shows normal age-related wear including light scratches, paint loss, dust, and minor oxidation consistent with careful use and long-term storage. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.
