This antique 4 inch tall medicine bottle is purple color with original cork stopper and is partially filled with a mixture of heavy concentrates containing black sand and fine gold dust altogether this weighs 111.2 grams. It was legally collected on private property located near Lytton, British Columbia during the 1980s during a construction project. We acquired it during the late 1990s from a BC collector whom obtained this from the finder and to our knowledge the cork has never been removed and this bottle is sealed like it was when found. Using a microscope the fine Fraser or Stein River gold is observable while to the naked eye the glass has micro to large bubbles in the matrix along with internal stress related features from being in the ground in an area that experiences wide seasonal temperature changes. This bottle is a museum collector quality artifact and is worthy of any mining history related display. Please review the pictures for more details and size measurement info, thank you.
