Circa 1930s 9-pc primitive Dog embroidered applique feedsack quilt blocks. The dog designs are hand-appliqued onto used muslin sack material with embroidery in various colors. Some of the blocks are not uniformly square and range in measurements between 10" to 12" in length or height. Block #4 (photos 8-10) measures slightly less than the rest at around 9.5" in height. Dog patterns appear to be freehand so each one is slightly different in size and shape. A few of the dogs are patchworked to complete the design. The used muslin sack backing shows scattered stains and marks. Block #4 (photos 8-10) shows a cluster of small perforations from previous use. See full description and photos for complete details.
