This group of photos features nurses from 1903 according the back of one of the photos. The photographs are on cardboard. The two with the four nurses are 8\" x 6\" and have gray frames. The one with the single nurse is 8\" x 5\" and has a white/cream color frame which may have slightly darkened with age.
One of nurse group photos has a scratch on it but does not detract from the subject. Although the photos/frames show signs of their age, there is no real damage.
There is a list of 4 names and the date 1903 on one of the group photos. Although there is no indication of a nursing school affiliation, there was City Hospital at that time in Amsterdam and St. Mary\'s Hospital was started in 1903 by the Sisters of St. Joseph Carondelet.
All of the frames are marked with Van B Wheaton Amsterdam, N.Y. He was photographer in the Amsterdam area from the late 1800\'s until 1931.
