Matched group of 25 antique Venetian glass African trade beads, commonly known as “Watermelon” trade beads, likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century.

Each bead is individually handmade and varies slightly in shape, size and decoration. The group has substantial surface patina and wear, giving the beads the beautifully weathered appearance associated with genuinely old trade beads.
