Here is a fabulous gift or collectible for a lover of the art of the well known Spanish artist, Carlos Ruano Llopis.
This is a boxed set of 22 perfect, like new post cards all with different bullfighting/matador scenes. Please view photos. The first two photos show the front and the back of the bespoke cardboard box that holds the collection of postcards. The next 2 photos show the unique fronts of all enclosed 22 post cards (12 in first photo and 10 in the second). The next photo show a representative group of the post card backs. All 22 postcards are unused and in perfect condition, no stains, marks, scratches, all corners are sharp and crisp. Two cards are slightly darker on the back side and one card is darker on the front but very evenly colored. The last six photos are close ups of the fronts of the 22 cards.The cardboard box has a Ruano Llopis postcard attached to one side and a message from the post card publisher on the other.The publisher message, translated from Spanish reads:

Carlos RuanoLlopis ( Orba ,April 10, 1878 – MexicoCity , September 2, 1950) was a Spanish painter and bullfightingposter artist.In 1909 he wonthe gold medal at the Regional Exhibition.Bullfightingwas the most prominent theme in his work.But it was withhis bullfighting posters that he truly excelled and became a master of thecraft.
Throughout hisartistic career, he participated in collective exhibitions at both regional andnational levels.Ruano Llopiswas an active contributor to various newspapers and magazines of the time,where his cartoons illustrating bullfighting reviews were published.In 1933 hetraveled to Mexico where he held a remarkable art exhibition to great publicand critical acclaim.He also workedfor the Hollywood film industry, directing bullfighting scenes and designingthe posters for the film Blood and Sand.
