One of the premium fossil relic inserts from the 2018 A&G product2018 Topps Allen & Ginter Mosasaur DNA Relics – Genuine Fossil Tooth Relic Card #04/25
This is a genuinely unusual card, and a great example of why Allen & Ginter\'s DNA Relics subset has developed such a dedicated following outside the traditional sports and pop-culture memorabilia space. Rather than featuring a piece of a jersey, bat, or prop, this card is embedded with an actual fossilized Mosasaur tooth fragment — a physical relic tens of millions of years old, mounted directly onto a mainstream Topps trading card.
This is the 2018 Topps Allen & Ginter Mosasaur DNA Relics card, serial numbered 04/25.
Card Details:
Set: 2018 Topps Allen & GinterSubset: DNA RelicsSubject: MosasaurRelic Type: Genuine fossilized tooth fragmentPrint Run: Numbered 04/25Manufacturer: Topps, Brooklyn, N.Y.
Why this card matters:
Allen & Ginter has built its identity around stepping outside conventional sports card subject matter — historical figures, natural wonders, oddities — and the DNA Relics subset takes that ethos to its logical extreme by embedding actual prehistoric fossil material into the card itself. A Mosasaur, one of the largest and most fearsome marine reptiles of the Late Cretaceous, gives this particular relic serious visual and educational punch, paired with the same illustrative, vintage-tobacco-card aesthetic Allen & Ginter is known for.
The extremely low print run of just 25 copies makes this a genuinely scarce chase card within the subset, and relic cards built around actual fossil material — rather than manufactured or repurposed materials — carry a novelty and authenticity that draws interest from natural history collectors as well as traditional card collectors.
Why collectors specifically want this one:
Contains an authentic fossilized Mosasaur tooth fragment, not a manufactured relicExtremely limited print run of only 25 copiesCrossover appeal between trading card collectors and natural history/fossil collectorsClassic Allen & Ginter illustrative design and vintage tobacco-card aestheticA genuinely unique category within modern relic card collecting

Please be aware that my local post office scans NOTHING when I drop it off, because of this it will give a 2-3 day delay for the tracking to update--some customers actually get the package before the tracking updates(This does NOT mean that I do not mail it out right away). Thank you for your patience, your order will still be received in a timely fashion and in the condition described in the listing, however it might take a little longer than normal for you to be able to follow the history of the package especially if you live on the West Coast. If you have any questions about this please send me a message.
