Unusual pair of original vintage autograph bookscontaining a remarkable collection of signaturesand inscriptions dating primarilyfrom the 1940s and early 1950s.The collection has a particularly strong connectionto international sport and the 1948 London Olympic Games, including a group of signatures associatedwith members of the Pakistan Olympic field hockey team,as well as signatures connected with baseball,athletics, swimming, horse racing, broadcasting, entertainment and other fields.Among the names identified through previous research are:
Abdul Hamid Hamidi (7 January 1927 – 11 July 2019)
was a field hockey player from Pakistan. He was born in Bannu. He won silver medal in 1956 Summer Olympics and gold medal in 1960 Summer Olympics.
Abdul Qayyum Khan (born November 1922) was a Pakistani field hockey player
Shazada Muhammad Shah-Rukh competed at the Olympics in two sports, the unique combination of hockey (field) and cycling. Shah-Rukh played for the Pakistani hockey team at the 1948 Olympics, alongside his brother Muhammad Khurram.
Muhammad Abdul Razzaq (born 1921) is a Pakistani field hockey player.
Jaffar Ali Shah (born 1930) is a Pakistani former swimmer
Muhammad Sharif Butt (15 January 1926 – 8 June 2015) was a Pakistani sprinter
