Item Description: Up for sale is a magnificent, matching pair of two (2) authentic 19th-century Victorian tintype photographs featuring a brother and sister from Virginia. These pieces feature exceptional, verified provenance and trace directly back to the historic foundational family line of Page County, Virginia.William and Catharin Kibler are direct descendants of Christian Kibler (the brother of Henry Kibler), the original immigrant founders who established the Kibler family line in Page County. Taken on the exact same day at the same studio, these matching portraits represent an invaluable, intact piece of early Virginia pioneer lineage.Documented Family Lineage:These siblings trace their direct ancestry backward through the following generations: - William Kibler (1824–1911) & Catharin Kibler (b. 1820s) – Featured in these portraits
- Parents: William Kibler (1788–1863)
- Grandparents: William Christian Kibler (1750–1826)

- William Kibler Portrait: A sharp, clear May 1875 portrait of William Kibler (1824–1911) housed in an arched paper sleeve with embossed decorative stars. The reverse side features a pasted paper label with clear, elegant cursive reading: "William Kibler, Woodstock, Shenandoah Co Va, May the 7-1875".
- Catharin Kibler Portrait ("Grandpa's Sister"): A beautifully preserved, matching oval-window tintype portrait taken at the same session, depicting William's sister, Catharin Kibler. The reverse side features a matching pasted label reading: "Catharin Kibler, Woodstock, Shenandoah Co. The portrait plates themselves remain crisp with excellent contrast and details. The matching paper sleeves have standard age-toning, minor foxing (brown spotting), and light edge/corner wear as pictured. William's frame features brown staining near the right and lower window border, and Catharin's frame has a small, clean tear at the top right edge. The handwritten labels on the reverse of both items remain fully intact and completely legible. Please inspect the photos closely to evaluate physical condition.
