The ornate reverse also identifies the studio’s Albany, New York, branch at 55 North Pearl Street and displays photographer William Notman’s royal warrant and international exhibition medals.The handwritten date “Nov. 1880” is especially interesting because the Notman–Campbell partnership was dissolved that year.
