Offered here is an original 3-page antique invoice/account group (4.5 x 8.5 inches) from HOMER RAMSDELL & CO., wholesale and retail dealers in groceries, provisions, iron, coal, and related goods on Front Street in Newburgh, New York. The pages remain glued together at the upper-left corner, exactly as used in period bookkeeping.

These sheets feature a striking illustrated letterhead advertising the company’s “Daily Freight and Passage Line to New York”, with a detailed barge/riverfront warehouse scene. Handwritten entries date from 1872 through 1875 and include named Springtown, NY customers such as M. CLOVE, M. HOAG, and M. ENO, with orders for bar iron and shipping notes.

A wonderful piece of Hudson River commercial history, transportation ephemera, and genealogy-friendly New York merchant material.
