Antique Vintage Catholic Ephemera Lot Holy Cards Prayer Book Santini LithographsThis extraordinary estate collection of vintage and antique Catholic devotional ephemera offers an evocative journey through traditional sacred iconography and personal piety. Spanning the late 19th through the mid-20th century, this substantial lot comprises over forty individual pieces, featuring a diverse array of holy cards, memorial cards, devotional booklets, sacred art reproductions, and an incomplete vintage pocket prayer book or missal adorned with an ornate embossed heraldic cover. The cards showcase a rich blend of printing techniques from the era, including vibrant color chromolithographs, rich sepia photogravures, engraved etchings, and delicate die-cut lithographs printed across Europe and the United States.
The iconography represented across the collection is remarkably comprehensive. Prominently featured are depictions of Our Lord Jesus Christ, including the Sacred Heart, the Crown of Thorns, the Good Shepherd, and Leonardo’s Last Supper, alongside a strong Marian devotion represented by Our Lady of Lourdes, the Immaculate Conception, and the Virgin and Child. Additional highlights include classic imagery of the Infant Jesus of Prague with period devotional pamphlets, beloved saints such as Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (The Little Flower), Saint Anthony, and traditional cloistered monastics, as well as formal ecclesiastical portraits and communion remembrances printed in French, Latin, and English. Several pieces feature intricate architectural and landscape backdrops, fine lace-border details, and reverse-side memorial prayers, indulgences, and verses.
Every piece in this archive has been preserved with the authentic charm and gentle patina expected of treasured devotional keepsakes. Condition ranges from very good vintage to well-preserved antique, with expected light edge wear, soft corner bumping, gentle toning, and subtle age foxing that attest to their genuine historical origin. Whether intended for a serious collector of sacred ephemera, archival framing, religious art reference, mixed-media collage, or personal devotional display, this assembled collection represents a truly rare and visually captivating treasury of Christian heritage.
